Why did Rahul Gandhi stop abusing Ambani-Adani? Modi smells Congress' 'deal with Ambani-Adani'
New Delhi?IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched an unsparing attack on Congress top leader Rahul Gandhi invoking premier industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani from an election rally in Telangana.
In his trademark style, Modi questioned, "He stopped abusing Ambani-Adani soon after the elections were announced. I want to ask the prince how much money he has received from Ambani-Adani. How much black money has been taken by the Congress?
"What deal has been struck that they have stopped abusing Ambani-Adani overnight? It's fishy. They have definitely received black money for which they have stopped abusing Ambani-Adani.'
Taking a jibe at Modi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge posted on X, "Times are changing. Friends are no longer friends…!
After completion of three phases of elections, today the Prime Minister has started attacking his own friends. This shows that Modiji's chair is shaking. This is the real trend of the result."

During an election campaign on Tuesday, Rahul slammed the Prime Minister accusing him of handing over forest land to Adani.
Speaking at an election rally, Rahul, who often jibes at Modi calling him a friend of Ambani-Adani, said, "Narendra Modi-ji has exempted taxes worth Rs. lakhs of crores of 22 people. He has made industrialists crorepati."
Besides the Ambani-Adani issue, Modi has slammed Rahul over Overseas Congress chairperson Sam Pitroda's remark where he classified Indians on the basis of their regions.
Modi said, "When you gave BJP a chance in 2014, we gave you a Dalit President, Shri Ram Nath Kovind. Again, in 2019, we gave the country an Adivasi President, Smt. Draupadi Murmu. Congress is against the Presidentship of Murmu ji because the Prince of Congress has a 'philosopher and guide uncle' in America, who acts like the 'third umpire' in Congress' confusion. He has said that people with dark skin are from Africa."
He added, "I can tolerate it when abuses are hurled at me, but not when they are hurled at my people. Can we decide a person's merit based on skin colour? Who permitted the Prince to look down on my people like that? We will not accept this racist mentality!"
Days after triggering a row with his inheritance remark, Pitroda said in an interview with The Statesman, "... diverse country... where people on East look like Chinese, people on West look like Arab, people on North look like maybe White and people in South look like Africa."
Countering Pitroda, Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader, Himanta Biswa Sarma, posted on X, "Sam bhai, I am from the North East and I look like an Indian. We are a diverse country - we may look different but we are all one. Hamare desh ke bare mein thoda to samajh lo!"
