Kolkata/Durgapur, Apr 24 (IBNS): A senior official of Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate's traffic department was run over by a speeding truck near M.A.M.C. Heavy More area in Durgapur city of West Bengal on Monday morning, reports said.

According to reports, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Asansol South Traffic Guard, Sashibhushan Tiwary, and his son, Abinash Tiwary, were going to DVC More by his motorcycle and when they reached Durgapur Expressway (NH-2) at M.A.M.C. Heavy More, an Asansol-bound truck hit the bike.

Following the collision, nearly 45-year-old OC Sashibhushan Tiwary was mowed down by the over-speeding truck.
