| @indiablooms | Apr 23, 2019, at 04:02 pm

Kolkata, Apr 23 (UNI/IBNS): Poll related clashes led to the death of a voter Piarul Abul Kalam during West Bengal's third phase polling in Murshidabad today.

Primary report said, Piarul Abul Kalam was standing in the queue at Ranitala Baligram booth to cast his ballot when the rival supporters of TMC and Congress activists involved in fighting with bamboo, clubs and other weapons near Bhagobangola.

Congress leader Abu Hena claimed the victim was their party supporter.

However, TMC leader Abu Taher Khan said the death was sad but this was nothing to do with election.

He said the killing happened due to family feud.

Piarul was declared brought dead when he was taken to nearby hospital.

This was first death during election.

Earler two phase poll on April 11 and April 19 happened.
