Purulia, Feb 5 (IBNS): Visiting Purulia by road, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while addressing a rally and said the TMC supremo was trying to protect a "corrupt officer” in the Saradha scam.

“The chief minister is trying to protect a corrupt officer in the case Sharada chit fund scam," Yogi said.

"Now, the Supreme Court has paved the way for proper investigation," he said addressing a rally in Purulia.

Referring to Mamata Banerjee's comment directed towards him where she said that the UP CM should 'manage his state first, Yogi said: " I want to tell her that UP is well managed.”

Mamata is currently sitting on a dharna against CBI's action against Kolkata Police chief Rajeev Kumar since Sunday.
