We shall win, Rahul Gandhi claims trashing UP exit poll results
"Our alliance is winning. Such exit polls we saw in Bihar also," Gandhi said in a terse reaction.
Most of the exit poll results have hinted at the BJP forming the Government or at least becoming the single largest party in UP.
Some poll surveys have stated that there may be a hung assembly with the BJP bagging maximum number of seats.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in an interview to BBC Hindi on Thursday said that he might go for a post poll tie-up with Mayawati led BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party), in case of a hung assembly in the state.
The BSP, however, denied such a possibility.
Akhilesh Yadav, who was confident about the victory of SP-Congress alliance in UP, stated that he might tie up with BSP to prevent BJP from controlling the state indirectly during President's rule.
"No one in UP would like to have a President's rule imposed on the state with BJP controlling it with a remote control," Akhilesh said.
