A 25-year-old woman committed suicide, along with her two-year-old son, allegedly after having a dispute with her husband in Menhdawal area of Sant Kabir Nagar here in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said here on Monday.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Satyajit Gupta said that around 8 am information was received that Kiran, a resident of Gagnai Rao village, along with her son Vigyantu and committed suicide.

He said that the police along with a forensic team reached the spot and found both the bodies hanging with a hook.

He said that the family members told the police that Kiran had an argument with her husband Jamwant Kewat over some issue during which he scolded her.

"The bodies have been sent for postmortem and further action will be taken after the autopsy report is received," he said.
