Uttar Pradesh: Three students injured in explosion

Gonda, Jul 6 (UNI) Three female students were injured in an explosion that occurred near the Banghusra village of the rural Kotwali area in this district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

Police sources here said they were returning to their homes from primary school situated at Pandey Purwa in the Banghusra village when they spotted a bag lying on the road and picked it up.

As soon as the students picked up the bag, an explosion occurred, injuring all of them.

The injured identified as Kajal, Kiran and Gunjan Verma were admitted to the district hospital.

Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and started an investigation.

Police is also questioning the people present nearby.
