Uttar Pradesh: Three die in road accident in Hardoi

Hardoi: Three persons, including a couple, were killed when a motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Sahar Kotwali area of Hardoi district here in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, police sources said here.

Police sources said that Munna Lal (65), a resident of Lala Purwa village under Hariyawan police station, along with his wife Mahadevi (60) had gone to attend a family function in Madara village on Sunday.

"On Monday morning when Munna Lal and Mahadevi along with their nephew Gyanendra (21) were returning back their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle," they said.

Police sources said that while Munna Lal and Gyanendra were killed on the spot, Mahadevi sustained serious injuries in the incident.

"Mahadevi was taken to the medical college where she succumbed to her injuries," they said.

Police sources said that the bodies have been sent for post mortem examination and efforts were being made to trace the vehicle involved in the accident.
