UP: Mafia's property worth Rs 16 cr seized in Agra

Agra (UP): Properties of fake automobile engine oil mafia Shan Mohammad alias Shanno worth Rs 16 crore were attached by the police in the Chatta area of the city on Saturday, police sources said here.

In initiating action against Shan police attached his eight houses under Patiram Gali under Gangster Act.

"His three bank accounts have also been seized by the police. Shan's name cropped up in several cases of fake engine oil and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhakar Chaudhary had taken serious cognizance of the matter," police sources said.

Circle Officer (CO), Chatta Sukanya Sharma said that the action has been taken under the Gangster Act.
