UP: 60.92% votes polled for 27 seats of Legislative Council till 12 noon

Lucknow/UNI: Polling continued at a brisk pace with 60.92% of 1,20,657 votes being polled for 27 seats of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council till 12 noon, here on Saturday.

According to the Joint Chief Electoral Office (JCEO) maximum 73.81% votes were polled in Agra, whereas Ayodhya saw 51.18 per cent turnout.

Among other districts 67 per cent votes were polled in Moradabad, 55.75% in Bareilly, 58 per cent in Shahjahanpur, 57.5% in Sitapur, 68.34% in Lucknow, 59% in Rae Bareli, 50.3% in Pratapgarh, 61.03% in Sultanpur, 54.64% in Barabanki and 58.14% in Bahraich.

Similarly, 64.71% votes were polled in Gonda, 66.54% in Basti, 52% in Gorakhpur, 53.19% in Deoria, 56.84% in Azamgarh, 63.02% in Ballia, 71.9% in Ghazipur, 52% in Jaunpur, 64.94% in Varanasi, 63.05% in Prayagraj, 63.64% in Jhansi, 63.17% in Fatehpur, 63.23% in Farrukhabad, 71.92% in Meerut and 59.87% in Saharanpur districts.
