Top leader of UPRF-Martin group killed in Assam's Karbi Anglong

Guwahati: A top leader of United Peoples' Revolutionary Front (UPRF-Martin group) was shot dead in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.

The deceased UPRF-M leader was identified as Manggin Kuki alias Verapan Kuki of Lhangnom village.

According to the reports, the top leader of the Kuki militant outfit was killed during a clash between two groups of the outfit.

Sources said Manggin Kuki was shot dead by his own cadres in the early morning of Sunday in the dense forest area near Bokajan in the hill district.

His dead body has been transported to Diphu Civil Hospital for postmortem.
