TMC leader Nafisa Ali admitted to hospital

Mumbai: Actress Nafisa Ali, who recently joined the Trinamool Congress, on Saturday said she is currently admitted to hospital.

"Guess what I have ! A lucky number 7 bed !! High fever and throat congested but doing better with my super medical team in Goa. Hope to be allowed home in a few days for self isolation," she captioned the image she shared on Instagram where she could be seen lying on bed no 7 in the hospital.

However, she did not confirm whether she tested COVID-19 positive.

The actor was diagnosed with stage 3 peritoneal and ovarian cancer in November 2018.

She opened up about the difficult time during her cancer journey last year by penning a heartfelt note.

Her last appearance on the silver screen was in "Saheb, Biwi and Gangster 3" in 2018.

She joined the Mamata Banerjee-led party in 2021 after leaving Congress.
