Three persons electrocuted while trying to rescue accident victims

Mandya, Jun 13 (UNI): In a freak accident, three persons were electrocuted when they rushed to help persons in a car that met with an accident as it rammed into a electricity post at Bharatinagara in Vanigera village in the district last night.

According to official sources three persons identified as Devaraju (31), Prasanna (45) and Pradeep (21), had rushed to rescue those in the car.

However, the victims were killed instantaneously when they stepped on a electric wire while rushing towards the car.

The electricity company workers rescued those trapped in the car after disconnecting the power supply, police said.
