Three BSF jawans injured in a blast during Chhath Puja in Manipur’s Imphal East

Guwahati, Nov 3 (IBNS): Three jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) were injured in a blast at a venue of Chhath Puja in Manipur’s Imphal East district last night.

According to the reports, the blast took place at Telipati area in Imphal East district at around 11-30 pm.

A top official of Manipur Police said that three jawans were injured in the blast and they were rushed to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) hospital, Imphal.

The injured security personnel were identified as Lalkumar, Koram Mahindra and Santram.

The blast occurred despite presence of heavy security personnel which included BSF and Manipur Police.

Police suspected that terrorists triggered the blast.

Following the blast, top officials of Manipur police had rushed to the area and found several objects used in the bomb.

Meanwhile, doctors of JNIMS hospital said the injured persons are now out of dangers.
