Ten-yr-old hit by truck during cycle rally dies in Maharashtra

Nashik, Jun 28 (UNI) A 10-year-old boy, a participant in the Nashik-Pandharpur Cycle Rally, was killed after hit by a truck on Sinnar Bypass Road on Friday.

The victim identified as Prem Sachin Nafde was a participant in the cycle rally jointly organised by the Nashik Cyclist Foundation and Datar Cancer Genetic Ltd, informed police.

The accident occurred when Prem was passing on his cycle from the Sinnar Bypass Road when a speedy truck heading towards Pune dashed the cycle from behind, said police.

Owing to the collision,the minor boy came under the truck's wheels,and died on the spot,added police.

The accused truck driver Krishna Baban Raut (49),a resident Rajgurunagar of Pune,have been arrested under relevant legal provisions,stated police.
