Hyderabad, Nov 24 (IBNS) : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao moved in to his new plush Rs. 50-crore office-cum-residence with his family on Thursday morning after formal inauguration, media reports said.

Rao and his wife performed the housewarming ceremony.

The Vastu-compliant complex, named Pragathi Bhavan, has five buildings, including the CM's residence, office, and a conference room.

Located in the Begumpet area, the one-lakh acre complex is on nine acres area.

According to NDTV reports, It has a theatre that can accommodate 250 people and double up as an auditorium, homes for some senior government officials, a massive conference hall, and a mini-secretariat which will include some government offices and windows fitted with bullet-proof glass.

The conference hall will serve as a meeting place of the Chief Minister and is named Janahita.

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, said that it was morally incorrect and insensitive of the Chief Minister to move into a posh new bungalow without fulfilling the poll promise of providing double bedrooms to the poor.
