Telangana: Wall collapse claims four lives in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 10 (UNI) In a shocking incident, four people were killed and eight others injured, after a wall at a function hall collapsed at Amberpet on Sunday.

According to police, the incident occurred at Pearl Garden when they were attending a marriage.

The deceased were identified as Lakshami (50) of Amberpet, Krishna (42), Suresh (55) and Sohail (30) residents of Mahbubnagar district.

The injured were shifted to Osmania General hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway, police added.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan expressed shock over the incident and announced Rs 2 lakh as ex-gratia. He also asked the officials to take necessary steps to provide better treatment for the injured.

Union Minister of state for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.
