In the initial incident, tragedy struck when a motorcycle collided with a pedestrian in the same area, resulting in the deaths of both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian.

The second mishap unfolded as a group of seven people were en route to the site of the first accident in an Ace auto.

Tragically, an oil tanker collided with the vehicle at the Vempadu bus stage, claiming the lives of four individuals on the spot while leaving two others with severe injuries.

The injured victims were admitted to a nearby hospital for necessary medical treatment.

Police have registered cases in connection with the accidents, and investigations are currently underway.
