Teenager drowns in College Square Pool in Kolkata

Kolkata, Aug 4 (UNI) Seventeen-year-old-boy, identified as Mohammed Shabaj, drowned while learning swimming in the College Square pool in the central part of the city.

Abut eight divers from the Kolkata Police Disaster Management fished out the body from College Square swimming pool, an hour after the boy reportedly dived into the deep water section around 8:30 AM on Sunday.

The boy was a learner at the Calcutta University Institute Swimming club.

The body was sent for post mortem.
