Ahmedabad/IBNS: A teenager has been detained from Gujarat's Kutch district for allegedly issuing a rape threat to former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's five-year old daughter, media reports said.

The 16-year old boy was detained on Sunday.

Dhoni's five-year old daughter Ziva has received a rape threat on social media after the 'Captain Cool' had failed to make a mark in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).

The threats allegedly appeared on the social media profiles of Dhoni and his wife Sakshi, triggering outrage on social media.

The threat came after Dhoni's CSK had failed to win a match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) last week.

The CSK skipper was dismissed cheaply for 11 off 12 balls.
