New Delhi/UNI: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama on Monday urged the people to teach children to cultivate emotional hygiene.

"Just as we teach children to observe physical hygiene for its benefits to our health, we need to teach them to cultivate emotional hygiene", Lama said in a tweet.

He further said that the children need to learn to tackle their destructive emotions and achieve peace of mind.

The spiritual leader is set to give a virtual talk on Buddhism, Science and Compassion from his residence in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh on November 25.
