Tamil Nadu: Two electrocuted to death during procession

Chennai, May 15 (UNI) Two people died of electrocution and two others injured during a Mother Mary procession at Allianthal village near Chengam in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

Reports received at the police headquarters here said the  locals were taking the 12 ft high St Lourd Mary statue in  a procession in a bullock cart, when it came into contact  with the high tension wire.

Two people, who were pulling the cart, died of electric shock
and two others were injured.

The deceased were identified as Anbarasu and Jebaraj.

The injured were admitted to a hospital.
