Guwahati, Oct 15 (IBNS): Guwahati city police on Sunday arrested four more youths in connection with stone attack on the Australian cricket team bus in Assam's capital city.

A top police official said that, the arrested youths of a local college admitted to have committed their crimes during interrogation.

Earlier, the Guwahati city police arrested two persons in connection with the stone attack on the bus of the Australian cricket team on October 10 night, when Australian cricketers were headed to the Hotel Radison Blue from the Barsapara cricket stadium in Guwahati after winning the second T-20 match against India by 8 wickets.

The incident took place at Katahbari area near Gorchuk on NH-37 when the Australian cricketers were heading back to the hotel.

Following the incident, Australian opener Aaron Finch posted a photograph of the damaged window pane on his twitter account and said that, "pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel."

Assam police had also registered a case following the incident and started investigation.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also directed Assam DGP Mukesh Sahay to take stern action against the culprits behind the attack.
