Soldier dies due to electrocution near LoC in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 6 (UNI): A soldier died due to electrocution near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir district of Bandipora on Thursday, official sources said.

They said an army soldier Rathod Bhavesh Bhai Dheeru Bhai was critically injured when he got in contact with a live wire during repair of transmission line in a camp near LoC.

However, he was rushed to a local hospital from where he was referred to 92 Base hospital, Srinagar.

The injured soldier succumbed at the hospital, they added.

Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings.
