Shiv Sena leader's son among those arrested in the Manpada gangrape case of Mumbai

Thane, Sep 24 (UNI) Hours after Dombivili was rocked by the news of gang rape on a 15 year old by 33 people during the last eight months, the police arrested as many as 24 of the accused, including the kin of a senior Shiv Sena leader, police said on Friday.

Among those arrested include Gaurav Santosh Mali, the son of Bopar Deslepada division Sakha Pramukh, Santosh Parshuram Mali, who are accused of raping the minor girl and torturing her and then throwing her on road.

There are two juveniles among the 24 arrested. Those arrested have been sent to the police custody till September 29, it was stated.

The police are still looking for seven more accused who are named in the FIR by the victim who is being treated at a hospital.
