Sheena Bora murder: Sanjeev Khanna brought to Kolkata from Mumbai for further investigations
According to reports, Sanjeev Khanna was brought to Kolkata on Monday morning.
The Mumbai Police searched at his Kolkata house and office in his presence.
One officer of the Mumbai Police told IBNS, "We have taken him to Kolkata today via a flight of 4:30 am. and conducted raids at his office and home in his presence. He provided few important information yesterday during interrogation.So, we are conducting the search operations. One laptop and few other electronic gadgets have been seized so far."
After the search operation, Mumbai Police brought him to Alipore Court in Kolkata for production before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) and appealed for one-day transit remand of him as his police custody's term ended on Monday.
But the CJM refused to take the case showing a technical error. He told the Mumbai Police's officers as the case was under the observation of Bandra Court, Sanjeev Khanna could not be produced here physically.
Sanjeev Khanna is likely to be produced in the Bandra Court on Tuesday.
"He will be produced to the Bandra Court tomorrow," the Mumbai Police official said.
Sanjeev Khanna was arrested earlier in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case on Aug 27 from Kolkata's upscale Alipore area.
Meanwhile, a Bandra court on Monday sent Indrani Mukerjea and her driver Shyam Rai to judicial custody for 14 days.
