Shatrughan Sinha endorsed Pakistan President's concern over lock down in Kashmir, says Pak President's Twitter handle

New Delhi/IBNS: Congress leader Shatrughan Sinha met Pakistan President Arif Alvi on Saturday in Lahore and endorsed his concerns over restrictions imposed in Kashmir post the abrogation Article 370 last August and emphasised on building "peace bridges" between the two countries.

"Indian politician Shatrughan Sinha met President Dr. Arif Alvi in Lahore today. They discussed the importance of building peace bridges across the border. Mr.@ShatruganSinha endorsed concern of the President about the lockdown of occupied Kashmir for more than 200 days," a tweet on Alvi's official Twitter handle read.

Sinha, who went to attend the wedding of businessman Mian AsadEshan's son, said in a series of tweets that his visit to Pakistan was a personal one and claimed that his discussion with Alvi was confined to social and cultural issues and no politics was discussed.

"We discussed so many things on social and cultural issues but no politics was discussed. My friends, well-wishers and supporters and of course the media should realize that one shouldn't discuss the politics or policies of countries on foreign soil when one isn't competent, qualified and authorized by the government," Sinha said.

Several twitteratis questioned Sinha if meeting with Pakistani President was his personal matter while others said it was his attempt to hog attention.
