Mumbai, Sept 23 (IBNS): Search operations by more than a 1000 policemen are underway in Navi Mumbai's Uran area following a perceived terror threat in the area.

School and colleges have  been shut owing to the risk it possesses.

Authorities have also released sketches of the suspects, who were said to have been seen in the area on Thursday.

A high alert has been placed by the coast guards along the Mumbai coast line.

The incident started on Thursday after two school children reported about armed men to the police.

India have already lost 18 soldiers in a recent terror attack in Uri, Kashmir.

The extra precautions have been taken in order to negate a similar incident.
