Samajwadi Party takes lead in UP's Phulpur Lok Sabha seat

Lucknow, Mar 14 (IBNS): After trailing initially, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has taken a lead in the Phulpur Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh, media reports said.

According to the trends so far, the SP has overtaken the BJP by a margin of 43, 562 votes.

The Phulpur seat was vacated by BJP's Keshav Prasad Maurya, who became the deputy Chief Minister of the state in 2017.

The seat was won by the BJP by a huge margin in 2014.
