Rozgar Mela is a proof of transparency and good governance: PM Modi

New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday distributed more than 70 thousand appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in the government services under the

Rozgar Mela through video conferencing and said the recruitment process under Rozgar Mela is a proof of "transparency and good governance."

This is the sixth Rozgar Mela being organised by the government at 43 locations across the country.

Addressing the newly appointees, the Prime Minister said, "These job recruitment melas have become the new identity of the NDA and BJP government. I am happy that the BJP ruled states governments are also continuously organizing such Rozgar Melas."

Underlining the development journey of India, Modi said, "India today is more stable, more secure and stronger than it was a decade ago."

He added that political corruption, and misuse of public money was the identity of the old governments, but today the government is being recognized by its decisive decisions and progressive social reforms".

Modi said, "Today, the whole world is ready to join us in our Vikas Yatra...adding that Despite global headwinds, India is standing firm and is taking her economy to newer and newer heights."

"Today, there has been an unprecedented economic development in the country and the Forex Reserves have also touched an all-time high," he said.

Accusing the previous government for "nepotism" in government jobs, Modi said, "This employment campaign going on in the country is also a proof of transparency and good governance".

"We have seen how family based political parties in our country have promoted nepotism. Even when it came to government jobs, they used nepotism and corruption," he said.

Modi said that on one side there are dynastic parties who are doing corruption and looting the youth of the country... Their way is 'rate card' while we are working to 'safeguard' the future of the youth.

"Rate cards shatter your dreams whereas we are engaged in making your resolutions come true. Engaged in 'safeguarding' all the wishes and aspirations of you and your family," he added.

The newly inducted appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, where more than 400 e-learning courses have been made available anywhere any device learning format.

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfillment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation.

The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
