RLV-TD launch: Modi congratulates ISRO team

New Delhi, May 23 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), for the launch of their first ever indigenous satellite- ShuttleRLV-TD.

"Launch of India's first indigenous space shuttle RLV-TD is the result of the industrious efforts of our scientists. Congrats to them," Modi, who is currently on a two day visit  tweeted.

The RLV-TD is 6.5 meter long.

It weighs around 1.75 tons.

The RLV-TD was designed and built by Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro). The cost of the project was Rs. 95 crore.

Praising the work of the ISRO scientists, Modi said, "The dynamism & dedication with which our scientists & @isro have worked over the years is exceptional and very inspiring."
