New Delhi, Nov 6 (IBNS): Former Indian PM Manmohan Singh on Friday said right minded people of India have condemned the 'incidents of intolerance' occurring in the nation under the regiment of the new government.

"Each and all right minded people in India have condemned the approach and in particular the incidents of intolerance," Singh said while speaking at the No Peace Without Freedom.

He said: "The prevailing circumstances are challenging, where one is reprimanded for seeking freedom to express views, opinions."

He said peace is essential both for the freedom and the economic growth of the nation.

Protesting against rising 'intolerance' several filmmakers, writers and others have returned their awards in recent times.
