New Delhi/IBNS: The death of a farmer at Delhi's ITO amid violence during today's tractor rally was caused by police firing claimed farmers at the site but a footage of the incident showed the casualty resulted as the victim's tractor rammed into yellow Delhi Police barricades and oveturned.

In the footage, a blue tractor can be seen crashing into the police barricades and oveturning twice before stopping on the side of the road, apparently leading to the immediate death of the farmer.

The deceased has been identified as Navdeep Singh Hundal, 26, from Uttarakhand's Bajpur area, reported NDTV.

Dramatic scenes of violent clashes were witnessed at the ITO area of Central Delhi on Tuesday as the farmers demonstrating against the three contentious farm laws forcibly entered the national capital.

Farmers, riding on their tractors, tried to evade blockades by recklessly driving their tractors and attempting to mow down the policemen.

Several people were also injured in the clashes. The Delhi police used tear gas shells and cane-charged the farmers to disperse the crowd. A DTC bus was also vandalised by the protestors.
