Rape accused minister Gayatri Prajapati missing for days, airports on high alert

New Delhi, Mar 3 (IBNS): The airport authority has put all exit point on high alert after media reports claimed that Uttar Pradesh Minister, who is facing rape charges, is planning to flee.

This comes after Prajapati has gone "missing" with police closing in on him following a Supreme Court directive in connection with a rape case.

According to reports, the UP police on Tuesday  searched two of  Prajapati's  official residences at Hazaratganj in Lucknow, but could not find him.

It is being assumed that he has gone undeground.

On Friday, media reports claimed that Prajapati is trying to fly aboard to escape form the situation.

The apex court had earlier asked the Government to take action against the controversial Minister.

Prajapati was last seen in Amethi, where he is contesting on the Samajwadi Party ticket in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections.

He is  the candidate of the Samajwadi Party from Amethi.

He has been charged in a gang-rape case.
