Rahul Gandhi to visit Assam tomorrow

Guwahati, Apr 2 (IBNS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi will visit Assam on Wednesday to hit the election campaign trail as the state braches for three phases Lok Sabha elections on April 11, 18 and 23.

During his two-day visit, Rahul Gandhi will address four election campaign rallies in Kaliabor, Lakhimpur, Karimganj and Silchar parliamentary constituency.

The Congress president will address the first rally at Bokakhat under Kaliabor Lok Sabha constituency for sitting MP Gaurav Gogoi around 1-15 pm on Wednesday.

He will address another rally at Dibrugarh around 3-25 pm and then will head to Shillong.

Rahul will spend the night in Shillong and address a rally at Karimganj at around 12-15 pm on Thursday.

The Congress president will address another rally at Silchar at around 1-15 pm on the same day.

Tight security arrangements have been made ahead of the Congress president's arrival.

It is to be mentioned that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah had recently visited Assam and addressed four rallies.
