Bengaluru, May 9 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi has compared his party's rule to the one by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka, which will go to polls on May 12.

In a tweet, Rahul highlighted the works done by the Congress government, which is ruling the state since 2013.

He has also tried to prove with statistics that the BJP government's five years' rule between 2008 and 2013 was not up to the mark.

Rahul's tweet reads, "In Karnataka, Congress Vs BJP is a "no contest" as this graphic shows."

The election fever is on high in the southern state as Rahul, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are campaigning hard across Karnataka.

The poll results will come out on May 15.

The Congress is trying to retain one of its last strongholds in the country.

Under former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa's leadership, the BJP is eyeing on to return to power in Karnataka.
