Rahul Gandhi attacks BJP over corruption issue in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Nov 16 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi has made it quite clear that his party will be taking on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over corruption issue as the opposition leader on Friday campaigned for his party in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh.

From e-tendering to Vyapam, Rahul, while addressing a rally in Sagar, attacked the BJP and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan over their alleged scams.

Rahul said: "Through e-tendering scam, people's Rs. 3000 crore were snatched. All tenders were given to Shivraj Chouhan's people. From mid-day meal to Narmada scams, there is a full list of scams."

"Everyone of Madhya Pradesh knows about Shivraj Chouhan and his family's role in Vyapam scam."

Taking his corruption issue to the national level, Rahul attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over demonetisation (noteban policy) which has completed two years.

The Congress chief said: "During Demonetisation, Mr. Modi made sincere labourers, women and small businesspersons stand in queues. Did you see any black money hoarder like Nirav Modi or Mehul Choksi?"

The state polls will be held on Nov 28. The counting of votes will take place on Dec 11.

The Madhya Pradesh polls are crucial for both the Congress and ruling BJP ahead of the next Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in few months' time.
