Srinagar/ New Delhi, Feb 17 (IBNS): Amid countrywide mourning and protest over the killing of 40 CRPF jawans in Jammu and Kashmir in a terror attack by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber,  the government has decided to withdraw "all security and government facilities" to five separatist leaders of Kashmir.

Officials in the Jammu and Kashmir government said the five leaders are Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Abdul Ghani Bhat, Bilal Lone, Hashim Qureshi and Shabir Shah.

"All security and any vehicles provided to them will stand withdrawn by today evening," the source told UNI.

"No security forces or cover should be provided, under any pretext, to them or any other separatist," sources said adding if they have any other facilities provided by the government, they are to be withdrawn forthwith.

Interestingly, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said security cover that is provided to people who get funds from Pakistan and its intelligence agency ISI will be reviewed by the government soon.

Hurriyat said the removal did not matter to them.

"It’s not an issue for us." the party said in a statement as reported by Rising Kashmir.

The list is likely to be updated - the order said the state police will review if any other separatists are also who have government security or facilities and will withdraw these immediately, officials told NDTV.

PM Modi promises actions:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Dhule in Maharashtra on Sunday where he unveiled multiple projects and sent a strong message to the perpetrators of the terror attack in Kashmir's Pulwama which left 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans martyred.

Maharashtra Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were present on the occasion.

Lauding the brave hearts  who sacrificed their lives in Pulwama, the PM said the nation stands by them in this hour of grief and mourning.

He said it  has  been the policy of India not to interfere in other’s business.

"However, if someone meddles in India’s affairs, it will not go unpunished.  I salute not only to the brave sons of India but also their mothers who gave birth to such bravehearts. The perpetrators of Pulwama attack will be brought to justice and world will realise that this India is New India with a New Vision and every tear will be avenged,” said he.

Valley witnesses shutdown:

Days after the Pulwama terror attack, which claimed the lives of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans, reports have surfaced that Kashmiri people are now being targeted with hostility in other parts of the country prompting the Union Home Ministry to issue an advisory, said media reports. However, fake news is also doing the rounds.

The Centre has issued an advisory to all states and Union Territories in the matter to ensure the safety of the Kashmiris.

Meanwhile, Kashmir is witnessing a shutdown on Sunday in the wake of the reported attacks.

In Dehradun, while some Kashmiri students were reported to have faced attacks, many staying as tenants have been asked to vacate the homes by the landowners in fear of damage to properties, media reports said. The police, however, said some of the news are fake.

According to some media reports as appeared in Indian Express, Kashmiri students have claimed that 12 of them were beaten up by activists from right-wing organisations such as the Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
