Puducherry: Youths held for selling Ganja

Puducherry, May 3 (UNI) Police arrested two youths at Villianur near here on charges of selling Ganja on Thursday night.

According to police, on a tip off, Villianur police and the special task force rushed to Acharyapuram, Villianur and noticed some persons on the run from beneath a bridge on seeing the police.

Police chased, overpowered and arrested the duo.

Police seized 360 grams of Ganja in 51 small packets from the arrested Tamizharasan (19) of Mangalam and Arun of Acharyapuram.

On interrogation, they said that they used to get the contraband from Thiruvannamalai and used to sell it to students after making small packets.

Police also seized three cell phones and a motorcycle from their possession.
