Puducherry: PWD voucher employees arrested

Puducherry, Feb 28 (UNI) As many as fifty voucher employees of the Public Works Department (PWD) were arrested when they shouted slogans against Lt Governor Kiran Bedi.

The Lt Governor came to the PWD office for inspection.

As she was returning after the inspection the voucher employees standing outside shouted slogans against her alleging that she is not permitting to convert them as daily rated employees.

Police forcefully removed them from the spot after an altercation with them and arrested fifty.
