Puducherry/IBNS: The Puducherry government has extended the anti-COVID-19 restrictions till Oct 31 amid the fear of a third wave of the pandemic, media reports said.

The night curfew from 11 pm to 5 am will also be in place everyday.

A total 100 people will be allowed to attend a marriage ceremony while only 20 will be allowed to attend any funeral.

In the last 24 hours, 37 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the union territory.

While 73 COVID-19 patients recovered in the same period of time, no death apparently due to the virus was reported for the second consecutive day Friday.
