Prithviraj Chavan expresses doubt over release of NCP's Nawab Malik on bail

| @indiablooms | Aug 13, 2023, at 02:42 pm

Satara/IBNS/UNI: Senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan Saturday raised a question over the manner in which Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik was arrested and released on bail.

Talking with reporters at Karad of the district, he claimed that the way Malik was arrested was wrong and hinted that there must be politics behind granting bail to him.

He claimed that the former minister must have been forced to take a political stance by putting pressure on him as his bail was not opposed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), or any other investigation agency and this was very indicative.

"Malik has still not announced his political affiliation to either Ajit Pawar group or Sharad Pawar group of NCP", Chavan added.
