Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi dies

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi passed away at the age of 100 on Friday morning.

Heeraben Modi was admitted to Ahmedabad's UN Mehta Hospital after her health deteriorated.

PM Modi tweeted. "A glorious century rests at the feet of God... In Maa I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values."

“When I met her on her 100th birthday, she said one thing always remembered work with intelligence, live life with purity.”

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed his condolences over the demise of Heeraben Modi.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel condoled the demise of the Prime Minister`s mother.

The PM is currently in Ahmedabad.

Her last rites will be performed soon.
