President Pranab Mukherjee welcomed on Twitter

New Delhi, July 2 (IBNS) Twitter on Tuesday welcomed a new member to its family-The President of India Pranab Mukherjee.

For all the latest updates about activities and news from Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President’s official residence, those on Twitter can follow him on @RashtrapatiBhvn.

In one day the account has gained around 34,000 followers. 

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi in his welcome tweet said “Welcoming @RashtrapatiBhvn to Twitter! Will be a wonderful medium for the people to connect with the President & his office.”

Twitter India tweeted “Honoured to welcome President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee @RashtrapatiBhvn to Twitter.

The @RashtrapatiBhvn twitter handle is run by President’s Secretariat and tweets from President signed by the present President  Pranab Mukherjee.
