President of India Ram Nath Kovind pays homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

New Delhi, Jan 23 (IBNS): Indian President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday paid homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

"He paid floral tributes in front of a portrait of Netaji at Rashtrapati Bhavan," read an official statement.

The country is marking the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose.

Remembering freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said his government is committed to fulfilling his ideals and creating a strong India.

"I bow to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his Jayanti. He was a stalwart who committed himself towards ensuring India is free and leads a life of dignity. We are committed to fulfilling his ideals and creating a strong India," Modi tweeted.
