President of India greets Putin on the eve of 'Day of Russia'

New Delhi, Jun 11 (IBNS): The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitation to the Government and people of the Russian Federation on the eve of Day of Russia.

In his message to Vladimir V. Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I have great pleasure in extending warm greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency and to the Government and people of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the “Day of Russia”.

"I was honoured to participate in the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War and was happy to have the opportunity of wide-ranging discussions with you on our bilateral relations. I would also like to reiterate my deep appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to me and to my delegation during the visit” said the President.
