President greets people of Israel on their National Day

New Delhi, May 3 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday greeted the people of Israel on their National Day.

"Greetings and felicitations to Government and people of the State of Israel on the occasion of their National Day," he said.

Touched by Israel's gesture during his visit, President Mukherjee said, "During 1st State Visit to Israel in Oct. 2015, I was touched by goodwill for India amongst people & leadership of Israel."

The President also expressed hope of the two nation excelling in various fields.

"India has welcomed Israeli participation in Make in India, Clean Ganga, Digital India, & Smart City initiatives. Our two countries will continue to achieve new heights in our bilateral cooperation for the benefit of our two peoples," President Mukherjee said.
