President extends greetings on NDRF 10th Raising Day
New Delhi, Jan 18 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on its 10th Raising Day.
In his message the President has said:
“It gives me immense pleasure to know that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is celebrating its 10th Raising Day on January 19, 2015.
The National Disaster Response Force is a specialized disaster response which has proven its worth by rescuing thousands of people in several parts of country. NDRF personnel displayed a high degree of competence and valour in responding to the floods in Jammu & Kashmir and Assam as well as the cyclonic storm Hudhud in States of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The timely response provided by the skilled and highly motivated rescuers of NDRF have saved many precious lives in the country.
I am confident that the NDRF will continue to serve the nation with equal diligence in the years to come.
I wish the NDRF a glorious future."
