President arrives on a day-long visit to Bihar

Patna/UNI: President Ram Nath Kovind arrived here this morning on a day-long visit to Bihar to participate in a function to commemorate the 50th establishment day of "Vishwa Shanti Stupa" in Rajgir.

Mr Kovind arrived here at Patna Airport in a special plane from New Delhi where he was received by Governor Fagu Chauhan and  Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Senior officials of Bihar government and other dignitaries were also present at the airport.

The President left for Rajgir in a chopper to inaugurate the function organised to commemorate the 50th establishment day of Vishwa Shanti Stupa. The chief minister and the governor also accompanied the President to participate in the function.


Mr Kovind is scheduled to return to New Delhi today, after attending the function.
