Prajwal Revanna's ex-driver, who leaked sex tapes, goes missing after SIT notice
Bengaluru/IBNS: Suspended Janata Dal (Secular) Prajwal Revanna's ex-driver, who was accused of leaking the alleged sex videos that led to a massive political slugfest, has gone missing, media reports said.
Prajwal Revanna's obscene video showing sexual harassment and abuse of women has taken the political circles in Karnataka by storm ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
A lookout notice has been issued against Prajwal amid the political turbulence in a sexual harassment accusation against him and his father HD Revanna.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated that Revanna must immediately appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to enquire, reported NDTV.
He added that failure to appear before the SIT may result in his arrest. Earlier, the SIT rejected his plea for a seven-day extension to meet with investigators.
According to reports, he was expected to land in Bengaluru from Frankfurt on Friday.
Meanwhile, the former driver of Prajwal, who had confessed to having given the pen drive containing the videos of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's grandson sexually abusing women to BJP leader Devaraje Gowda, has disappeared following a SIT notice.
The driver Karthik had worked with Prajwal Revanna for 13 years and had fallen out with him a year ago over an alleged land deal.
Former Chief Minister and JD(S) supremo HD Kumaraswamy has alleged that some influential leaders are behind the driver's disappearance.
Prajwal Revanna left for Germany last Saturday, a day after polling took place in Karnataka's Hassan from where he is a candidate, and shortly after the videos began circulating online.
He has found himself embroiled in a controversy following allegations of sexual harassment made against him and his father, HD Revanna, by a woman, who claims to have been employed as a cook at the Revanna household.
She also alleges that the JDS MP harassed her daughter, contacting her through video calls.
Several videos allegedly showing Prajwal Revanna engaged in obscene acts have surfaced online, adding to the controversy.
